Management Team

Peter W. Flanagan, President & CEO
Peter Flanagan has an M.S. degree in Geophysics from the University of Arizona, and worked for Amoco Corporation for 5 years. In 1988 he cofounded and was president of Parallel Geoscience Corporation of Austin, TX, which develops software for the Oil and Gas Exploration Industry. In 1993, he sold his interest in Parallel and founded Reflection Software which developed the "SeisVision" mapping software product for the Oil and Gas Industry. In 1995, Reflection Software was acquired by Landmark Graphics Corporation, of Houston, TX. Peter served as Geophysical Software Product Manager for the Landmark GeoGraphix division for three years, prior to founding Transzap.

Douglas S. Izmirian, VP - CFO
Doug Izmirian earned his M.S. degree in Geophysics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Denver. He worked as a geophysicist for five years at Amoco Production Company. In 1986 he co-founded Citadel Oil and Gas Corporation, a petroleum exploration company operating in the Mid-continent and Rocky Mountain regions. In 1999 Doug co-founded Transzap, Inc. Doug is an active member of COPAS - Colorado (the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies.) He served on its Board of Directors from 1999 - 2005 and served as COPAS - Colorado President from 2002-2003. He also Co-Chaired the JIB Committee and served as liaison to the American Petroleum Institute's standards body, PIDX.

David J. York, VP - Administration
David York has led the Operations and Administrative missions for organizations for more than 20 years. David co-founded Transzap, Inc in 1999. He has a broad base of business experience that includes contract negotiation and management, human resources and oversight of computer and network technologies. He worked at Amoco Production Company for 5 years where he helped design and manage database records systems. David worked at the law firm of Ireland Stapleton for 12 years where he held a variety of positions including Paralegal, Facilities/Operations Manager and IS Manager. David served for many years on the BOD of the Association of Legal Administrators. David York has a BA degree in Political Science and Sociology, and a Paralegal Certificate from California State University, Chico.

Pat Fagan, VP - Software Development
Pat Fagan earned a B.S. in Computer Management and Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver and an M.S. in Information Systems from the University of Colorado, Denver. He has worked for over 20 years designing and developing information systems. From 1996 through 2000 he was Lead Technical Architect for Corporate Express' B2B e-commerce site, E-way. During his watch the site grew to generate $16 million in monthly revenue and it had a projected annual growth rate of 500%. From 1994 to 1996 Pat served as Advisory Software Engineer for Auto-Trol Corporation. From 1986 - 1994 he acted as the Principal Software Engineer at Data General. For the six previous years he worked as a Software Engineer for the Department of the Interior.

David B. Marts, VP - Operations
David Marts has a B.S. and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. David joined Transzap in 2007, bringing 25 years of IT leadership experience in operations and customer service. David spent 6 years as the CIO and VP-Information Systems for SonicAir, a courier and field logistics company. David has served as the Director of Business Continuity for Catholic Health Initiatives, a large non-profit healthcare provider, the Director of Managed Services Operations for Mincom, an Australia-based ERP software provider, and Director of IT for Kennecott Energy, a producer of low-sulfur coal. In addition, David is ITIL certified.

Jim Allison, VP - Product Management
Jim has worked in the global energy industry for more than 17 years, focused on accounting leadership in the E&P sector. Jim has extensive domain knowledge of the industry with a broad base of experience that has included management and control of operational accounting groups for both public and private oil and gas companies. Prior to joining Transzap in 2001 Jim served as a Controller. He has a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Glenville State College, and is a long time member of COPAS - Colorado (the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies) He is currently serving a 3-year term on the organization's Board of Directors.

Karey L. Goebel, VP - Marketing
Karey Goebel joined Transzap in 2000. She has worked for 19 years in the Oil and Gas industry, with management experience in the areas of Marketing, Public Relations, Financial Operations and Business Development. Karey's focus has been on creating effective strategies that communicate ideas to the global energy industry. She has a B.A. in Business Administration and additional training in Mineral Economics. Karey is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Public Relations Society of America.

Roy X. Garcia, VP - Sales
Roy Garcia has a BS degree in Business Management from LeTourneau University. Prior to joining Transzap in 2006, Roy worked in the technology industry for 15 years creating and executing successful strategies in Sales and Strategic Account Management. He gained extensive Oil & Gas domain knowledge through his work with Grasso Production Management as a Business Development Director. Additionally, he worked with Ceridian Corporation for 8 years advancing to the position of DVP of Client Services. Roy is a proven Sales management professional with a deep understanding of process and strategy.
